Local governments in Georgia supply information to three state agencies on an annual basis – Department of Revenue, Department of Community Affairs and Department of Audits and Accounts. The TED Center uses these data along with pre-programmed analytical tools to improve on the organization and orientation of these data sources.
The TED Center goes beyond simple data archiving, adding value to data fostering research and educational opportunities throughout the state to enable people to learn how to interpret and use TED's data for operational and policy decisions. The Carl Vinson Institute of Government of the University of Georgia appreciates the support of our partner state agencies and associations (Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association) in our endeavor to improve the financial management of the state of Georgia.
